For Patients
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get my test done the same day that my physician orders it?
Yes, at Premier Radiology you can. We do whatever possible to accommodate your busy schedule offering same day, evening, and weekend appointments.
I have insurance so it shouldn’t matter where I get my test, right?
Wrong. While many people have insurance, if you have not met your deductible you could be paying more out of pocket depending on your insurance companies contracted rate with the facility you choose. If you have met your deductible there is still typically a percentage of your bill that you are responsible for. A less expensive test means less out of pocket.
What will my diagnostic test cost?
Not all imaging facilities are created equal. Free standing diagnostic imaging facilities are typically 50% less expensive than hospital diagnostic testing facilities. At Premier Radiology we also offer a significant discount for all of our uninsured patients.
Will the testing facility work out payment arrangements?
At Premier Radiology, we will always work with the patient to come up with the best payment arrangements possible. We will never ask you to pay your entire deductible up front.
What should I do if I have billing related problems or questions?
Contact Phydata, LLC at the telephone number listed on your billing statement. Have your billing statement available. If the Phydata, LLC representative is unable to solve your problem, request to speak with a supervisor.

If you come here to pick up medical records you will need to present a photographic identification card. Please provide 24 hours advance notice during weekdays.
I'm having an MRI scan with contrast. Is it okay for to eat and drink before the test?
You may eat and drink. There is no preparation for an MRI scan.
I have metal in my body from a surgical procedure. Is it safe for to have an MRI scan?
There are a few surgical implants that are not safe to scan. Patients with pacemakers should never be scanned. Some aneurysm clips and other surgical implants are not MRI safe. Most surgical clips and orthopedic implants are safe. Before you are scanned a technologist will complete a thorough screening questionnaire to ensure the MRI examination is safe to undergo.
I'm having a CT scan with contrast. My doctor told me not to eat for 3 hours before the procedure. Should I skip my morning medications?
No, it is not necessary to skip your regular daily medications. Take your regular medications with clear liquid or water. You should be well hydrated and drink plenty of water before your CT scan.
